uDEX Reveals Plan to Burn 500M Tokens and Combat Insider Trading

Market Confidence Restoration Plan Includes Destruction of Tokens Tied to Binance Employee Misconduct.

Decentralized exchange uDEX has announced a sweeping restructuring plan aimed at restoring market confidence and addressing recent controversies. Coordinated with key stakeholders, the plan focuses on enhancing transparency through a series of strategic actions.

The plan includes locking the project's development wallet, similar to a Foundation structure, for a two-year period. Additionally, 149 million UUU tokens, representing approximately 14.9% of the total supply, will be allocated from internal wallets to fund community airdrops, partnerships, and liquidity provision. These funds will be subject to transparent oversight and implemented with rolling lock periods.

In its most dramatic move, uDEX plans to permanently remove 500 million UUU tokens—a full 50% of the total supply—by sending them to a burn address. The project has indicated this token burn process will be completed in the near future.

The announcement also addresses a recent insider trading scandal, revealing that 18 million UUU tokens connected to improper trading activity will be destroyed with assistance from Binance. This follows Binance's March 25th disclosure regarding an employee who was suspended for allegedly using confidential information to conduct front-running trades for personal profit. According to Binance's official statement, their internal audit team received a report on March 23, 2025, which led to an investigation and subsequent legal action against the employee.

"Clearing the gloom, pushing forward," stated uDEX in their announcement, which was tagged with #Blockchain, #Fairness, and #uDEX, signaling the project's commitment to rebuilding trust within their ecosystem.
